The shocking calamity!

What is the shocking calamity?

And what is it that will make you understand that shocking calamity?

[It will come into being] on a Day when people will be like moths aimlessly scattered all over,

And the mountains will be scaled down like wisps of wool.

As for he whose balance of deeds are signi- ficant,

He shall find himself in a pleasant liveliness;

Whereas he whose balance of deeds are insignificant,

His recourse is the abyss.

And how would you know what that [the abyss] will be?

An overheated inferno!
